Emma Hammer is a Senior Health Policy Associate at Applied Policy, where she performs health policy research and analysis for a variety of healthcare clients, with a focus on the pharmaceutical sector. Emma supports clients in understanding how regulatory changes affect their businesses by analyzing coding, coverage, and reimbursement policies from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Health and Human Services.
Emma worked for CMS while finishing her degree. She supported projects related to Medicare Advantage and the Value-Based Insurance Design Model for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI).
An active Steering Committee member for the DC Society of Health Policy Young Professionals, Emma supports strategic planning, outreach, and event coordination to engage young professionals in health policy across the DC area.
Emma graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and a minor in general business, summa cum laude, from the University of Maryland, College Park.
