Brady Augustine is Health Policy Director for Applied Policy focusing on healthcare services. In this role he assists our hospital, home health, hospice and other service-provider clients with Medicare, Medicaid and other payers.

Prior to joining Applied Policy, Mr. Augustine founded and was President of Aggressive Analytics, a consulting firm specializing in policy and operational analysis, data science, and performance improvement. His firm received numerous commendations from clients for his support of their strategic planning and value creation efforts. He is also intimately familiar with state Medicaid programs as his team trained state executives in all 50 states and multiple territories on Medicaid managed care, program integrity, and health care analytics.

Previous to Aggressive Analytics, he served as Chief of Health Systems Development for Florida Medicaid. During this time, his team was recognized with two Prudential – Davis Productivity Awards, the State’s highest honor for work that increases productivity and promotes innovation.

Mr. Augustine also held various leadership roles at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He was Senior Advisor to the Administrator, where he functioned as the Agency’s kidney disease and transplantation ‘czar’ directing the Agency’s $30B kidney disease program. He also served as senior quality advisor, where he led the Agency’s value-based purchasing and chaired the workgroup responsible for leading CMS’ breakthrough initiatives.

Mr. Augustine holds an M.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Applied Discrete Mathematics from Auburn University. He has been appointed to multiple Federal Advisory Committees on performance measurement, information technology, and payment system reform and is often featured at national conferences ranging the health policy spectrum.
