Giana Mandel is a Health Policy Manager at Applied Policy where she coordinates client projects and conducts research on numerous topics with a special concentration in pharmaceutical policy. Ms. Mandel completes regular analysis on payment and other regulations from agencies including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Department of Health and Human Services, helping clients understand the impact to their products and services as well as impact to the broader health care landscape.  In addition, Ms. Mandel attends and reports on MedPAC, MACPAC, Congressional hearings, and other health policy meetings in support of client relationships.

While pursuing a graduate degree in public policy, Ms. Mandel interned with a Washington DC. area health policy firm where she performed research on prescription drug policy and become conversant in the federal regulatory process.

Ms. Mandel received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in health policy at the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at the George Washington University.
