Child & Family Network Center of Alexandria
Applied Policy is a proud sponsor of the CFNC where we have sponsored a class of four-year-olds attending preschool. The CFNCA has been a community anchor for over 30 years and delivers quality education to Alexandria’s at-risk kids. CFNC is the only Alexandria nonprofit providing free quality, bi-lingual preschool and family support for our area’s working poor. Not to be confused with Head Start, (the free federal pre-K program for our nation’s most needy) CFNC supports the working poor – a critical audience who would otherwise fall through the cracks in the system.
Carpenter’s Shelter
Applied Policy has been a long supporter of the Carpenter’s Shelter of Alexandria. Carpenter’s supports local homeless persons by providing shelter, guidance, education and advocacy, in an effort to help these individuals achieve sustainable independence. The Applied Policy team has volunteered at the shelter and sponsored a team to participate in Carpenter’s annual Run for Shelter.
Building Better Futures with the Campagna Center at TC Williams High School
Each year Applied Policy invites high school students from TC Williams to be interns with the company. We do this through two separate programs during spring break and again during the summer months. The programs are designed to help students who may not have exposure to professional work environments and provide these students with a sense of what healthcare policy is about.
